– 5 gms turmeric powder, 2 cloves, 2 dried guava leaves and 200 gms water can be used as mouthwash and prevents dental pain
– Mixed turmeric powder and lime over insect bitten body parts removes the toxic effect

Cosmetic Uses:
– Turmeric works as an effective antiseptic cream and can be applied to skin prone to pimples and acne
– When mixed with sandalwood paste, turmeric can remove blemishes on the skin, left by skin disorders and ailments like chicken pox
– Turmeric is used as an integral part of ointments and face creams.

Oleoresin and curcumin are extracts of turmeric and widely used as a food flavourant.
Turmeric is widely used as a colouring agent in the pharmaceutical, food, rice milling and confectionary industries.
4. Use turmeric in your diet
Turmeric is a highly versatile spice that can be added to meals in a range of ways, including:
– Adding turmeric into spice mixtures such as curry or barbecue rub
